Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights advocate, writer, model and actor. She has been acclaimed by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. Her first two movies she received recognition as a winner of an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as an award from the Golden Globe. In just three films, she was voted the Top female debut at the box office in the world. In 1972, her foot-prints along with her signature were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was published. MacGraw got married to three different people.
