Niykee is a song writer who, despite her hectic career, has kept a regular routine. Personal highlights included her being picked by Snoop dogg to become his private assistant at the YouTube Brandcast event in May 2013. Her songwriting routine is now an inspiration to aspiring producers. Niykee constantly listens to beats and discovers many which spark thoughts. In just 5 minutes when I'm able to determine if a particular beat is worthwhile. After that I am able to see the concept of a complete song within my head, and then I start writing. While I'm on my porch and play guitar, lyrics will come out and can be written in fewer than thirty minutes. Niykee's past pain can be a constant source of motivation as she grows as an author. It's hard to avoid the painful memories from my childhood, and especially losing my younger sister. They end up being integrated into her music. This influences my music and creates a deeper meaning under everything which is an important thing to me--I need to know that I can hear any of my songs in 20 years later and be happy with what I said.
